Track the food you actually eat.
A calorie diary for Indian meals
GenieFit lets you record Indian meals using a photo, a written description or voice. For homemade food, specify the dish, serving size and preparation details so you can review the estimate before saving it.
Make your description useful
Instead of “lunch”, describe “2 rotis, one bowl of dal and rice”. Add the amount of oil or ghee if you know it. Bowl sizes vary, so measured portions can make your record easier to interpret.
Mixed dishes need context
A homemade curry can vary from one kitchen to another. Ingredients, added fats and portion size change the estimate. Treat the food result as something to review, especially when the recipe is unfamiliar.
Build one repeatable habit
Start by recording one familiar meal. Check its ingredients and portions, save it, and use your diary to see how meals contribute to your daily calories and macros.
